US Course will have the opportunity to experience the traditional culture of Sakai in a special three-day programme starting today. The students will also record their experiences on film and produce a promotional video for the US course with their own hands.

On the first day, the students were assigned to different roles in the film production, and in the afternoon, they enjoyed the VR 'Understanding Sakai' and an Otemae experience at the Sakai Plaza of Rikyu and Akiko. The realistic view of the streets of Sakai in the olden days was so realistic that many people could not help but stretch out their hands to touch it. During the tea ceremony, each participant used a tea whisk to make their own tea, which tasted even better than expected.

ユニバーサルスタディコースの中学1年生は 、本日から3 日間、特別プログラムを組み、堺の伝統文化に触れる機会を持ちます。また、それらの体験を映像として記録し、生徒自身の手で US コースのプロモーションビデオを制作します。

初日は映像製作の役割分担を行ったあと、午後はさかい利晶の杜でVR 「堺を知る」と、お点前の体験を行いました。臨場感あふれる昔の堺の町並みに、思わず手をのばす姿が多く見られました。お手前では、一人一人が茶筅を使って自らお茶を点てる経験をし、予想以上の美味しさに目を見張っていました。
